Among the wide variety of homemade stews, it is worth mentioning: “la gandinga”, made with pork offal, bread and spices. Other homemade dishes such as wild boar or venison stew, not to mention the “olla de la matanza”.

These are the hallmarks of the area’s gastronomic culture.
As for confectionery, the “piñonate”, made with flour, oil, eggs and honey, is becoming increasingly popular. The “torta de chicharrones” (pork crackling cake), which is usually made after the pig has been slaughtered. Rosas, roscas, caracoles (snails) and pestiños (fritters) are other delicacies that can be found in the different catering establishments in our municipality.
